Marex Villarica Beach Resort - Tambo, Babak Samal Island

Marex Villarica Beach Resort in Samal is a new haven I just discovered. My favorite Samal beaches were Isla Reta and Villa Amparo Resort and as of now, Marex Villarica Resort joined the list.

First, the shoreline was wide. You can do sand sports in there. The white sand is powdery that you'll love to walk barefoot. And the pristine clear water was desirable. By the time I went there, the place was so calm. Few people only and really I found peace and serenity. Marex Villarica Resort is a nice place to relax, have fun for a budget friendly price.

I know there were high class beach resorts in Samal Island but Marex Villarica Resort has it's own uniqueness that made the resort exceptional. A type of resort that you'll probably say that "I would come back for more".

Another fun thing to do in Marex Villarica is fishing. Well, I know it requires a lot of patience when you do fishing but this is one way of relaxing too. They have a wide fish pond where you can enjoy fishing and pay PHP100.00 per kilo in every fish you caught. You can ask them to cook the fish for you or grill it by yourself.

Camp Holiday Resort & Recreation Area - Kinawitnon, Babak Samal Island

Recovering the last year's photo in Camp Holiday, here I decided to create a review and guide for your Camp Holiday trip. I heard a lot about Camp Holiday but it doesn't entice me as it was located near the port and docking stations. Maybe the sea water isn't that very good compare to resorts in Talicud Island.

Camp Holiday is located in Samal Island, Davao del Norte. It is a walking distance from the Samal port, and while docking, you can see the front view of the resort.

I was amazed how wide the area is. They have lounge near the entrance, Bermuda grass park with playing ground for kids. Numerous cottages and free tables. They have clean comfort rooms. They have resto, stores and grilling station.

We choose a cottage near the water. Almost at the edge. It is a nice location because couple of cottages where almost at the edge of the water. The front water were enclosed and it is low tide at the time we went there. So I just walked around and never really tried to bath. They have swimming pool too.

Other than that, the crew and staffs were responsive to our needs. They have resto but you can bring many food and drinks are you want, with corkage fee. They serve delicious dish for affordable prices. For parties, the food may be served buffet-style.

Entrance fee is P80 per head and overnight rates are P150 per head. Swimming pool is already included on the entrance fee you'll pay.

Cottage Rates

Closed Room  PHP1,200 per night (Hotel Rooms)
Closed Cottage PHP 1,800 per night
All rooms are fully air-conditioned, with cable TV, and hot and cold shower.
