Tuka Bay Marine Sanctuary Park - A Must See in Kiamba, Sarangani

Powdery white sand beaches, blue green water, snorkel and kayak. Who loves these? I do! 1 million times! hahahaha! I considered myself hooked by a scenic view of white sand beaches. Although I don't want to get super dark skin but this ain't stop me from going to beach - first world problem. nyahaha!

Continuing the story of our west coast Sarangani tour, our last stop was in Tuka Bay Marine Sanctuary Park. We went there on a sunny Sunday and I was expecting a crowded resort since it was weekend. And to my surprised, the place was so calm. There were other 2 groups aside from us but still the resort was so calm and I loved it. You can really appreciate the place if it is not crowded. You can see the fine clean shore perfectly curved and looking at calm sea can really take away stress.

We have our sumptuous lunch, rice, grilled fish and squid - pusit in a local term. Perfect food at that moment. Thanks to our colleagues who made the cooking well done.

Aside from being addicted to travel, my travel buddies are cam whores too! hahaa! So as usual, we took many photos having Manny Pacquiao's rest house as background.

Yes, that huge color orange and well built rest house was owned by Manny Pacquiao. Beautiful isn't it? It has said that the rest house has plenty of rooms - just like Hotel California. I'm joking. Please laugh. Okay- so we just took photos because we aren't allowed to go inside for viewing. If only Manny was there, I know he would allow us to go inside. :D

Our time was consumed in swimming. We let Manong take us few meters away from the shore through the boat we used to get to Tuka Bay. And we swam by ourselves to get back to the shore. I just recently learned how to swim, yet very tiring, I enjoyed it so much.

They have life vest. So you can still enjoy the swimming session if you don't know how to swim. They also have snorkel set for rent and I assure you that Tuka Bay is very rich in marine life. You can see different variety of beautiful fishes. Large, small and colorful ones. That's why we don't have any time for paragliding that time. But it was very worth it. :D

How to Get There

We rented a boat worth PHP1,500 and can accomodate up to 15 people. Life vest are included. And they will wait for you and will bring you back to Kiamba.

A Healthy Breakfast at Cressing's Organic Food Products in Maitum, Sarangani Province

Have you ever tasted an organic meal? Nowadays, instant foods are everywhere, even when you travel, you consider to buy instant foods specially when you're in a rush. As we planned to travel Maitum, Sarangani Province, we included a healthy breakfast in our itinerary. Sweet and healthy!

Cressing's Organic Food Products is one of Maitum's best. So better include this when you travel to Maitum, Sarangani. They serve breakfast which is all organic. From rice (black, brown and white rice), fish, salted eggs, coffee, juice and even tea!

I also loved eating as much as travel and Cressing's Organic delicacies catches my heart. I loved their salted eggs. The saltiness is just really fine. Not too much salty. And the 'bangsi' or flying fish - my new favorite and taste really good. A very superb meal indeed!

You should also try their organic coffee made from muringga (malunggay), organic rice and corn. The taste is like native coffee. Native coffee is also known as kapeng Barako. They have similarity in taste. The tea also taste great. It can help improved bowel movement. Overall, the organic foods are proven good for your health.

Aside from that, the owner Ma'am Beth is really nice, approachable and friendly which made us feel like we're just at home eating breakfast. She shared a short story too why the place was called Maitum. And we had fun talking about that even when going home.

Wanna know what's the short story behind Maitum? Dine at Cressing's then hahaha! I surely recommend this place. Maitum, Sarangani has a lot to offer. By the way, after this heavy breakfast, we then headed to do white water tubing. Just in case you want to have the same itinerary too!

Cressing's Organic Food Product is located at Purok Namnama, Maitum Sarangani Province. Contact them at +63919-3045279 or ferminc.rivas@hotmail.com

A Quick Visit at Nalus Falls and Jan Water Park in Kiamba, Sarangani

Our excitement level increased as we headed to our first stop in our 2 day west cost Sarangani tour. Nalus Falls was our first stop. Located in Kiamba, Sarangani Province.

It is just a few meters walk before you can reach the spot. There is no entrance fee, no cottages and not suitable for overnight stay (as of now but I will try to update you in the future if anything new happens here).

Nalus falls is good for day tour only. I been with many waterfalls here in Mindanao and I can say that it's not that really enchanting like high waterfalls you have in mind. You can do a little hike to reach the higher part. The middle portion is deep and current was just fine. We didn't stay there for a long time. Just a quick visit.

Jan Water Park

After Nalus Falls, we headed again to another water spot - in Jan Water Park Pool. Just few meters away from Nalus Falls. You see, we loved water. From waterfalls then to swimming pool, nyahaha

And that's why I love my travel buddies because we all want the same thing - water! hahaha We rode in a van going to pool with the same wet outfit -- brrr, it's kinda cold inside.

Anyways, Jan Water Park is not bad at all. We spent more time in there. I enjoyed my newly learned skill - swimming. It can really add enjoyment in every aquatic getaways. :D The pool is very wide and more than 5ft in depth - elevated.

How to Get There

I will suggest you to hire a van if you will do a day tour in Sarangani. It is much better, comfortable and cheaper if you do that way, specially if you travel in big group.

You might also want to read our major activity in Sarangani - The White Water Tubing. Actually we are supposed to do Paragliding too but we enjoyed Tuka Marine Sanctuary Park very much and we can no longer accommodate it. (Lack of time) But we will surely do Paragliding on the next time we visit Sarangani.
