Boracay Island Expedition - Puka Beach, Island Hop and Helmet Diving

Boracay Island is one of my travel wishlist and just last year, together with my travel buddies, we booked a flight from Davao going to Iloilo through Cebu Pacific Airline. We actually rushed to avail a promo on Cebu Pacific. After 2 months of waiting for our scheduled flight, we then packed things up, bought the things we needed for the vacation and get ready. We were so excited and have sleepless night before the flight. LOL!

We arrived in Iloilo and then ride by land going to Caticlan. You can ride a van or bus. It was a very long travel before reaching Caticlan. It took us 5 hours to get there. We at last arrived to Boracay Island and our long travel has a reward. We arrived past 5:00 in the afternoon and we did witness the fascinating sunset! It was indeed a breathtaking view. Very good for photo shoot.

After enjoying the view, took numerous photos, walk along the shore and let our foot feel the very fine white sand, we leave our things on the hotel we booked and fill our stomach. Yes, before our flight, we booked a hotel in Boracay to secure our accommodation when we get there. I recommend La Carmela de Boracay Hotel, although it was expensive but when you travel by group then you can save money booking in La Carmela de Boracay.

The resort is very elegant, first class and very relaxing ambiance. At night, we continue the party. There were lots of fire dance and has great bars to enjoy with.

The next day was the start of our very fun activities. We woke up early and decided to do island hop. We been to Yapak and other nice beaches and view in Boracay. There are lots of activities to do when you are in Boracay. You can try go cart racing and helmet diving. Helmet diving cost PHP 1,000 per person and includes boat ride to the site, assistance from 1-2 PADI qualified dive instructors, helmet dive equipment and free souvenir pictures.

Helmet diving is a little expensive but it was very worth to try. It was a fun and new experience for us to walk along the reefs. see variety of close up fishes and other sea creatures.

We stopped on some nice beaches that our tour guide recommend. Puka Beach is also nice. It's not crowded and foods are very affordable. After the island hop we get back and enjoyed Boracay fine white sand. We tried Go Cart racing too. It is also very fun. A must try! I really do recommend visiting this island. It is the Philippine's beach capital indeed.

I always love the Puka beach of Boracay. Quiet, less crowd, really a perfect place to relax, and the Boracay resorts near it, are all so great. Foods and other stuffs are affordable. :)
